Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland (BGCO) is thrilled to step into the new year with new and exciting opportunities to serve Oakland kids and teens.
In program year 2024, we served over 3,200 Oakland youth and provided around 30 unique services in our Five Core Program areas to achieve Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, and build Healthy Lifestyles.
With the unwavering commitment and support of our community, BGCO is looking forward to another impactful year to create bright futures for Oakland youth.
Center of Hope!
BGCO is excited to announce the new Center of Hope! Thanks to the generous donation from Panda Cares Foundation to remodel our Learning Center at Anna Marie Whalen Branch located in High Street, Oakland. We are extremely honored to receive this award in our effort to provide safe and positive after school spaces for Oakland youth to fulfill their academic goals.
New kitchen at Carr!
BGCO partnered with Wingstop to fully recondition the kitchen at Carr Branch located in East Oakland to continue providing healthy meals during after school hours and conduct culinary program where youth members learn to build a lifelong commitment to healthy eating. Thank you Wingstop for enabling us to provide nutritious meals to our kids and teens!
