Programs

BGCO’s youth development strategy—since its 1938 chartering—is designed to instill senses of competence, usefulness, belonging, and power or influence in each participant. To those ends, and to instill a sense of responsibility in each child, we base our services on our national Movement's philosophy, principles, and strategies which promote and enhance the development of children and youth ages 6 to 18.

Our Core programs span the following six vehicles for development:

  • Character and Leadership Development

  • Education and Career Development

  • Health and Life Skills

  • The Arts

  • Sports, Fitness and Recreation
